This Privacy Policy explains what information MuddyCarz.com collects, how we use it, and your choices. MuddyCarz.com is operated by Muddy Carz LLC (“MuddyCarz,” “we,” “us”). We collect as little as we need, and we do not sell your personal information.

Information you give us

When you submit an event, we collect:

  • Your name and email address, so we can follow up about your submission. These are kept private and never published.
  • The event details you enter, such as the event name, date, location, organizer, contact name and phone number, prices and description. These are meant for public display on the event listing, so only include contact details the organizer wants shared.
  • Any flyer or image you upload.

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

Information collected automatically

  • Spam protection. When you submit an event, your IP address is used temporarily to limit repeated submissions. It is not stored with your submission.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider, Hostinger, automatically records standard technical information, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of each visit, to operate and secure the site.
  • Cookies. WordPress sets cookies for people who log in to manage the site. Ordinary visitors browsing the site do not need an account.

  • Social links. Links we share on Facebook and Instagram may include tracking tags (such as utm_source=facebook) that tell us which network a visit came from. These tags identify the network, not you.

Photos from events

We photograph vehicles and people at public automotive events and may publish those photos on the site and our social media. If you would like a photo of you or your vehicle removed, or a license plate blurred, email muddeatr@muddycarz.com with the page link.

How we use information

  • To review, publish and update event listings.
  • To contact you about an event you submitted.
  • To share events and Featured Cars on MuddyCarz social media.
  • To prevent spam and keep the site secure.
  • To understand and improve the site.

How information is shared

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only:

  • With service providers that run the site for us, such as our web host and email delivery services, only as needed to provide their services.
  • When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of MuddyCarz or others.
  • If MuddyCarz or its assets are transferred to a new owner, who would be bound by this policy.

Event details you submit for public display are published on the site and may be shared on our Facebook Page and Instagram.

Facebook, Instagram and other sites

When you visit our Facebook Page or Instagram, or follow a link to an organizer’s site, that service’s own privacy policy applies. We do not control how Meta or other sites collect or use information.

How long we keep information

We keep event submissions, including the submitter’s name and email, for as long as the listing is useful and for our records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time. Hosting logs are kept according to our host’s retention settings.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing muddeatr@muddycarz.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under state or national law, and we will honor requests as those laws require.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information, including secure connections and access controls. No website is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

MuddyCarz is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, email muddeatr@muddycarz.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it last changed.
